The automated, patented and turnkey solution increases consistency and resistance to impact of ceramic products

Keeltek optimal reinforcement (Kor) is the innovative solution proposed by Marfin for strengthening and protecting ceramic slabs, an automated and technologically advanced system that increases the consistency of ceramic products. Through a patented technique, Kor applies a combination of fibreglass meshfabric and strong adhesive material to the back of the slabs: a protection that favours impact resistance, increasing the technical requirements of ceramic products to be used in ventilated facades and worktops.

Kor ensures safety in the application of the adhesive product, avoiding spraying methods and guaranteeing accuracy and precision: therefore, the use of industrial paper is not necessary. On the sustainability front, the line is equipped with an electric oven with infrared technology, ruling out the use of fossil fuels for operation, and thanks to a buffer, the residual heat of the oven can be reused to continue the solidification process of the material.

Kor is a “turnkey” solution: Marfin analyses the factory process, designs the line and takes care of the production, installation and start-up phases.

Key features.

Flexible. Kor is compatible with formats from 1200×1200 mm up to 1600 x 3200 mm (and more); Pur grammage from 100 g/m2 to 400 g/m2 (ideal point is around 225 g/m2); different mesh/fabric materials: fiberglass, carbon, polyester, basalt

High production rate. The maximum productivity, depending on the format size, is 60 pieces/h

Patented mesh/fabric applying system. It enables the product in the roll to be 100% used, as no deformation of the product is generated
