Marfin

‘Our presence marked an important milestone in Marfin’s growth, thanks particularly to the impact this event had on the company’s global positioning and the new opportunities emerging in the international markets’

RIMINI (ITALY) – ‘A window into the world.’ This is how Pietro Zini, CEO of Marfin, a company specializing in industrial machinery and services for the packaging and wrapping of palletized products, described their recent participation at Tecna, the international trade fair for the surface sector, dedicated to technologies for tiles, sanitaryware, and tableware. ‘Our presence at Tecna,’ Zini stated, ‘marked an important milestone in Marfin’s growth, thanks particularly to the impact this event had on the company’s global positioning and the new opportunities emerging in the international markets. But also on the consolidation of valuable partnerships, such as those with Spanish player Keeltek Engineering Solutions.’

So you consider your participation in Tecna successful?

‘Definitely: participating in the fair allowed us to “reintroduce” ourselves to the market. Both our image and brand awareness benefited from it. It helped us shine a spotlight on a company that hadn’t had such an international stage in a while, despite continuing to work with attention and focusing on quality. But more importantly, it allowed us to lay the groundwork for the future in several product sectors, from bricks to sanitaryware, and ceramics.’

Were the contacts Italian or international?

‘Both. On the Italian front, we developed already established relationships, while internationally, we received a lot of interest from various regions of the world, such as North Africa and South America. These are markets where we are present directly but with local plant engineers, so it was useful to meet players from those areas.’

Tecna was also an opportunity to highlight a strategic partnership, the one with Keeltek. This is the collaboration behind the Kor project, the innovative solution to reinforce ceramic slabs.

‘Keeltek’s role at our stand was crucial because they are a partner we work very well with and with whom we are developing quite interesting projects. From a technical perspective, it’s clear that the technology brought to the table by Keeltek Engineering Solutions represents significant added value to Marfin’s offerings.’

It’s been almost a year since Marfin’s corporate structure changed, with the addition of two new partners: yourself, Pietro Zini, and Massimiliano Sghedoni. How has it been so far?

‘Positive, because the market has shown it wants to believe in the change we have brought to Marfin’s operations, infusing new strength and improving customer support. It’s been important to work in various product sectors, not just ceramics.’

Lastly, a word on the short-to-medium-term goals?

‘We aim to strengthen the technological side of our machinery, evolving our end-of-line systems, even introducing alternative solutions. I can’t say more for now…’
